President

As President of La Mesa National Little League,  I oversee all operations for the league.  This is my first year President after taking over from Ron Ficolara.  Looking to carry on the good work that Ron put into the league and continue to lead the League in a positive direction.  I hope to imprint a focus on community and utilize our volunteer investment to create the best Little League experience for both our players and families alike!

  • Assign/Appoint/Designate executive authority & tasks as required

Ted
Donovan

Coaching Coordinator
A huge amount of your Little League experience runs through your coach.  Ted's role is to ensure the coaches in the League have what they need to run their team as well as field any issues or concerns the coaches have back to board.  Coaching Coordinator is just Ted's formal role.  Informally he runs our sponsorships, fundraisers and field maintenance teams.  He is a man with many hats!

  • Provide training to managers/coaches
  • Contact person for Little League International.

Sean
Connacher

Umpire in Chief
Sean has one of the most important roles in our League, and that is running our umpire program.  He has done an amazing job in pulling in volunteers this year to umpire our games.  We have gone from zero volunteer umpires to over 8 volunteers in just one season with Sean at the driver's seat.  Sean also goes above and beyond and helps the league in communications, scheduling, sponsorships, fundraising and much much more.
  • Coordinator of League Umpire Program
  • Recruit/Review/Retain volunteer umpire staff
  • Provide umpire training
  • Advisor on rule challenges

Dan
Kutner

Safety Officer
Dan is a veteran board member who is really the man behind the scenes.  You may not have met Dan, but you have probably seen him mowing the grass, fixing the gates,  fences, flagpole, the divets in the walkway, and on and on and on.  Oh yeah, he is also the Safety Officer and ensures that our kids are playing safely.   He is the glue that keeps our ship floating!
  • Create annual League Safety Plan

  • Process all league injuries

Lexi
Galicia

Equipment Manager
Lexi has the challenging task of ordering and delivering our uniforms year-over-year, which is no small feat!  She also helps in ordering our supply of equipment needed to run the League.  Lexi is always willing to lend a hand at all of our events, and you have probably caught her helping to run the Snack Bar from time to time as well.  She is another veteran board member that helps the League in many ways.

  • Coordination of jersey process & ordering
  • Provide Equipment updates

Nick
Wallace

Secretary
Nick's formal role with the League is the Secretary, which is responsible for some of the administration and documentation of League operations.  Nick also volunteers his time to coach for us as well.  Perhaps the most unique thing about Nick is his ability to connect the league with many different folks to get our projects completed.  This year Nick has been instrumental in getting several projects off the ground through involvement and partnerships with community businesses and friends & colleagues.
