Certification

The USA Baseball Stamp

Before purchasing any bat, you must verify it carries the official USA Baseball certification mark. Here's what to look for.

USA Baseball Certification Logo

Look for this mark on the barrel of the bat

What You're Looking For

The USA Baseball logo must be permanently stamped or printed on the barrel of the bat. This mark confirms the bat has been tested and certified to meet the USABat performance standard required for Little League play.

  • Bats stamped with the "USA Baseball" mark — approved
  • Wood bats of any kind — approved
  • Bats marked "BPF 1.15" — not permitted
  • Bats with no certification mark — not permitted
  • Barrel diameter greater than 2⅝ inches — not permitted
  • BBCOR bats in Majors and below — not permitted
